William A. “Billy” Wyndham, 79, of Moncks Corner, retired iron worker and retired employee of the Navy Yard, died Thursday, September 1, 2011, in Mt. Pleasant.
Billy was born June 10, 1932, in Berkeley County, the son of Calhoun L. Wyndham and Gertrude Morris Wyndham.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Phillips Wyndham; a son – Will C. Wyndham; a daughter – Janelle W. Belk and her husband, Dwayne; a brother – Robert C. Wyndham and his wife, Virginia; 2 sisters – Jean W. Varner and her husband, Wayne; and Diane W. Turbeville; and 2 grandchildren – Alan Belk and Brittney Belk, all of Moncks Corner.
Billy was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and he was a member of the Iron Workers Union.
His funeral service will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Moncks Corner, Saturday morning, September 3, 2011, at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Berea Methodist Cemetery in Bethera, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel this Friday evening between 6 and 8 o’clock.
