William H. Nobles Sr., 81, of Alvin, husband of 57 years to Mary Delk Nobles, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, December 7, 2018.
William was born June 7, 1937, in Valdosta Ga., son of Raymond Nobles and Ethel Musslewhite Nobles.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, William enjoyed traveling and gardening. He served his country in the US Navy and retired after 26 years of service. He later worked as a planner and independent contractor for nuclear power plants. He was also a member of the St. Stephen Masonic Lodge.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters- Sandra N. Mitchum of St. Stephen; Vickie N. Everett and her husband, Mike, of Moncks Corner; two sons- Billy Nobles and his wife, Sarah of Ruskins, Fla.; Ray Nobles of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother- Joe Nobles and his wife, Bonnie; sisters- Gloria Hisaw; Elizabeth Goff; Lois Jordan and her husband, Kenny; Merrie Zipperer and her husband, Burie. He was predeceased by a brother- Ray Nobles; a sister- Mary Moye and a son in law- Jamie Mitchum.
His funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Sunday December 9, 2018, at 3 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 2 o’clock until the hour of service. Interment with, Masonic Rites and full military honors, will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
