Warren Kemp Estes, 77, of Murrells Inlet, retired Director of Engineers for the Charleston Naval Shipyard, husband of 50 years to Wilda Foley Estes, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
Warren was born October 31, 1939, in Danville, Virginia, son of Wilson Kemp Estes and Blanche McGuire Estes.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters-Melissa Estes of Murrells Inlet; Virginia E. Persaud and her husband, Khemraj, of Chesapeake, Virginia; four grandchildren-Warren Persaud of Charlotte, NC; Ryan Persaud and Christopher Persaud of Chesapeake, Va.; Megan Weaver of Dunlap, TN.; one great granddaughter-Emory Weaver; one brother-Clyde Estes and his wife, Elnora, of Hampton, Va.; He was predeceased by a daughter-Shirley E. Weaver; two brothers- Leonard Estes and Marvin Estes and two sisters- Virginia Estes and Marie Estes.
His funeral service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 o’clock until the hour of service.
