Wanda Jean Leeper Flint

July 15, 1931 — October 16, 2010

Wanda Jean Leeper Flint, 79, of Charleston, formerly of Cross, widow of Paul Flint, died Saturday, October 16, 2010, in Hospice Center of Charleston, in Mt. Pleasant.

Wanda was born July 15, 1931, in Kansas City, MO., the daughter of Edwin Leeper and Gertrude Zurcher Leeper.

A member of the St. Stephen Christian Church and Women in Rural Electrification ”W.I.R.E.”, Mrs. Flint spent her life helping others and volunteering. Some of the many organizations she was involved with were the Cross Fire Department; Red Cross Blood Drives; voter registration and the Poll Manager in Cross for many years. She also enjoyed researching genealogy on her computer.

Surviving are her daughter, Paula Flint of Charleston; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11 o’clock in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, St. Stephen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Blvd, Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464.
