Tula Baker Wiley, 96, of Moncks Corner, widow of Stevens H. Wiley, Sr., died Saturday, October 24, 2009, in a Charleston hospital.

She was born October 24, 1913, at Cooper Heights, GA., the daughter of George P. Baker and Sarah Wiley Baker.

She was a member of Pinopolis United Methodist Church, and was a retired seamstress in the alteration department at Sears.

Survivors include 4 daughters - Jane Fairchild of Pinopolis; Sarah Hare and her husband, Davey, of Pinopolis; Mary Linda Player of Ladson; Elizabeth "Libby" Gaskins and her husband, Gene, of Macedonia; 2 sons - Stevens H. Wiley, Jr., of Pinopolis; and George Wiley of Rome, GA; 40 grandchildren; 87 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Dora Wiley of Pinopolis; a cousin - Ann Allison of Winchester, TN. She was precedeased by children - Josephine Wilson, Stanley Wiley, and Richard Wiley; grandsons - Scott and Kenny Fairchild; great granddaughter - Alyssa Roth; great-great granddaughter - Malia Evans-Broad; son-in-law, Jerry Player.



Her funeral service will be at 11 o'clock Friday morning, October 30, 2009, at Pinopolis United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening, and at the church Friday morning from 9:30 until the hour of service.
