Timothy Lee Aikman

Timothy Lee Aikman, 50, formerly of Moncks Corner, passed away October 19, 2017 in Waynesville, NC.

Timothy was born December 7, 1966, in Dayton Ohio, a son of Barbara Jean Aikman Childs and the late Ronald Lee Aikman.

A former Corrections Officer for Berkeley County, Timothy had also been employed by Santee Cooper as a Security Guard. He was a gun collector and could build or repair anything with his hands.

Surviving are his wife- Shawn Bradford Aikman of Hendersonville, NC; a daughter- Rachel Aikman of Charleston; two sons- Timothy Claude Aikman of Cross; Willis Aikman of Hendersonville, NC; his mother and step father- Barbara Jean and Roger Childs of Moncks Corner; four sisters- Teresa Aikman, Pamela Howard, Sara Aikman and Annice Aikman all of Moncks Corner and a brother- Chavis Aikman also of Moncks Corner.

His funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Moncks Corner, Tuesday afternoon, October 24, 2017, at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 o'clock noon until the hour of service.
