Thomas E. Morris, Sr.

Thomas E. Morris, Sr., 69, of Moncks Corner, widower of June Crowe Morris, passed away Friday April 23, 2021.

Thomas was born May 30, 1951 in West Columbia, South Carolina, a son of Stoney John Morris and Juanita Elliott Morris.

A loving father and grandfather, Thomas was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a HVAC Technician for over 45 years and was a member of Revival Center Church, he will be sadly missed by his family, friends and beloved dog, Mr. Pibb.

Surviving are sons-- Thomas E. Morris, Jr. and his wife, Haydee, of Summerville; Jason Cannady also of Summerville; daughters- Shonna R. Burn and her husband, Richard, of Moncks Corner; Tabetha L. Morris of Summerville; Holly Gray also of Summerville; Brittney J. Morris of Ridgeville; 12 grandchildren; sisters- Teresa McCabe of Spartanburg; Linda Wilson and her husband, Ray, of John’s Island; Betty Osborne and her husband, Leon, of Summerville; brother- Johnny Morris and his wife, Kathy, of Columbia. In addition to his parents, Thomas is predeceased by a sister- Patricia Langston and brothers- Bobby Morris and Philip Morris.

His funeral service will be held at Revival Center Church, 10481 Hwy 78 East, Summerville, SC 29483, Friday April 30, 2021 at 12 o’clock. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 o’clock until the hour of service.
