Terry Ellis Walther

March 16, 1957 — November 6, 2015

Terry Ellis Walther, 58, of Moncks Corner, a Line Technician with Santee Cooper, husband of Linda Dangerfield Walther, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015.

Terry was born March 16, 1957, in New Harmony, Indiana, son of John Richard Walther and Margaret Adeline Guffey Walther.

He was a devoted husband to Linda for 39 years, as well as a loving father and grandfather. As a member of Faith Assembly of God, he was active in the Garage and Motorcycle Ministries; he was also a NASCAR enthusiast. Terry was a former employee of DuPont but had been employed at Santee Cooper for the past 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.


He was the founder of “First Impressions” at Faith Assembly and had travelled on six different missions around the world with the Assembly. He was also co-leader of the Life Group. Terry served as an usher with the church and always enjoyed performing in the Christmas Production. MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, HE LOVED TO PRAY WITH PEOPLE!

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son- Tommy Harrell and his wife, Lisa, of Summerville and a granddaughter Caroline Harrell.

His funeral service will be held at Faith Assembly of God, Summerville, S.C., at 10 o'clock Monday morning, November 9, 2015, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at Faith Assembly for one hour prior to the service (9 AM - 10 AM). Interment will follow in Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery, Moncks Corner.
