Suzanne Parker Hill

Suzanne Parker Hill, daughter of the late Samuel Pledger and Camilla Briggs Baker Parker of Pinopolis died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her residence. She was born on June 20, 1945. She graduated from Berkeley High School and Conede Business College.

Ms. Hill was the postmaster for 30 years at the Pinopolis Post Office. She retired in 2002. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing Bridge with her dear friends. She loved animals of all kinds. She found so much joy in feeding her birds and loved seeing her red birds come and perch on her fence rail. She leaves behind her beloved beagle Opie.

Surviving are two children- Carole Hill Owens of Johns Island, SC and James Parker Hill of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter-in-law Patty Caturano Hill of Moncks Corner; five grandchildren- Chase Parker Owens, Cory William Owens, Morgan Briggs Hill, Luke Parker Hill, and Jack Leary Hill; a brother Sammy Parker from Pinopolis and his dear and wonderful wife Suzi; nephews Stephen and Matthew Parker; nieces Amy and Maureen Parker. Ms. Hill was preceded in death by her son-in-law Chip Owens.

Her celebration of life will be 12 o’clock Monday, June 19, 2023, at Pinopolis United Methodist Church, Pinopolis, SC, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11 o’clock until the hour of service at the church.
