Stephen Michael Caldwell, 35, of Moncks Corner, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
Stephen was born January 30, 1982, in Charleston, a son of Linda Harris Caldwell and the late Charles Curtis Caldwell.
After graduating from Stratford High School, Stephen joined the US Army National Guard, where he served as a Medic in Kuwait.
Stephen was a proud member of the Army Medical Department Regiment- a regiment whose tradition of caring is distinguished by more than 200 years of proud and faithful service to soldiers, the United States Army, and the United States of America. Stephen was awarded the Army Achievement Medal; National Defense Service Medal as well as the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. In 2008 The International Fire Service Accreditation Congress certified Stephen as a Fire Fighter II. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his mother are- a brother- Daniel Caldwell and his wife, Shannon, of Knightsville; a step brother- Bobby Caldwell and his wife, Leah, of Mount Pleasant; two nephews- Bobby Caldwell, Jr. “B.J.” and Curtis Caldwell; a niece- Miranda Caldwell.
His funeral service, with full military honors, will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Friday afternoon, October 6, 2017, at 1 o’clock. Entombment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, Thursday evening, October 5, 2017, from 6 to 8 o’clock.
