Robin Hood Griffin

Robin Renae Hood Griffin, 56, of Macedonia, widow of Richard Griffin, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence.

Robin was born July 29, 1958, in Charleston, daughter of the late Mike Hood and Janice Bilton Hood.

She was a graduate of Macedonia High School and was a former employee of Berkeley Community Mental Health Center. More recently she had been a caregiver for friends and family members. Robin was a member of Macedonia Christian Church.

Surviving are her daughter - Meagan Brown and her husband, Chris, of Bonneau; sister - Melanie Hood of Macedonia; brother - Michael Hood of Macedonia; grandchildren - Johnathon and Alexis Mitchell; step children - Roy Griffin and wife, Samantha; Teresa Griffin Wilson and husband, Mike; and Jonathan Griffin; step grandchildren - Alexis and LaKrista Griffin. She was predeceased by her her son - Shane Mitchell and her grandmother - Dolan Orvin Bilton.

A memorial service honoring Robin will be held at 6 o'clock Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2015, at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
