Robert L. Mullinax, Jr., 67, of St. Stephen, widower of Theresa Wiggins Mulliax, died Monday, May 9, 2011, in a Moncks Corner nursing home.
Robert was born November 28, 1943 in Greenville, the son of Reverend Robert Lee Mullinax, Sr. and Mildred Bagwell Mullinax.
He was an Army veteran of Vietnam.
He was a former St. Stephen Fire Chief and a retired truck driver for the postal service.
Surviving are a daughter - Bobbie Jenean Kirkland and her husband, Gary, Sr., of St. Stephen; 2 sons - Robert "Robbie" Lee Mullinax III and his wife Mandy of Moorseboro, NC; and Christopher Mullinax of Baltimore, MD; a stepdaughter - Angela Marie Cushman and her husband, David, of St. Stephen; 2 brothers - Eddie Mullinax and his wife, Jenny, of Blacksburg; and Steve Mullinax and his wife, Gail, of Blacksburg; 2 sisters - Jackie Queen and her husband, Ron, of Grover, SC; and Kathy Williams and her husband, David, of Bonneau; 4 grandchildren and a wonderful host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Wiggins Mullinax.
His funeral service was held in Christian Outreach Ministries, St. Stephen, Thursday afternoon, May 12, 2011, at 4 o'clock. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Gardens, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner.
