Robert Clark Banks

Robert Clark Banks, 83, of Moncks Corner, first married to Catherine Scott and widower of Gladys Shieder Banks, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, in Charleston VA Hospital.

Mr. Banks was born March 5, 1932, in Buchanan Township, MI., son of Charles L. Banks and Minnie Thurston Banks.

A graduate of Berrien High School in Berrien, MI., he later served with the United States Navy in the Korean War. Robert was an avid fisherman who was dearly loved by many and will be sorely missed. He is now at peace and with his beloved wife, Gladys, of 27 years,

Surviving are his children: Kathleen Banks; Billie Joe "B.J." Mixon; Michael Banks; Patrick Banks; and Daniel Banks; grandchildren - Ashley Banks; Ashley Balmonte; Jeffrey Banks; Daniel Banks; Nichole Balmonte; Christina Gandolfo; Brandy Nation and Brad Nation; and many great grandchildren; brother - Bub Banks; and sister - Peggy Alsup; step children - Debra Nation, Dale Keith and Carroll Keith III. He was predeceased by his daughter - Susan Banks; brother - Bill Banks; and sister - June Hahn.

His memorial service and entombment will be held in Plantation Memorial gardens, Monday afternoon, April 27, 2015, at 1 o'clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL.
