Robert Lee Adams, Sr.

Robert Lee Adams, Sr., 75, of St. Stephen retired welder and pipe fitter with Jacobs, husband of Rita Murray Adams, passed away Monday, December, 19, 2016.

Robert was born October 16, 1941 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, a son of Ira Luther and Ethel Lehew Adams.

He was a dedicated husband of 47 years and a loving father. He was of the Christian faith and had attended the St. Stephen Christian Church, where he had served as Sunday School Superintendent. Robert served in the US Navy and was a past commander of the American Legion.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son- Robert “Robby” Adams, Jr., of St. Stephen; a sister Gertrude Stoner and her husband, Jack of Florida; and a brother Jackie of Missouri; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 brothers- John, Charles, James, and George.

A memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Thursday afternoon, December 22, 2016, at 2 o’clock. The family will receive friends from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
