Ricky J. Evans

Ricky J. Evans, 68, of North Charleston, husband of Barbara Hurst Evans, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016, in Veterans Administration Hospital in Charleston.

He was born November 24, 1947, in Lake County, Illinois, son of Dewey Evans and Alice Frazier Evans.

A loving husband and father, Ricky was an U.S. Army veteran, having served two tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the DAV. He always enjoyed being on the water- boating, and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons – Wesley “Donnie” Richison of Bonneau; and Robert Earl “Rob” Richison and his wife, Kathryn of Ladson; and his mother – in-law, Kathryn Kivett.

His funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel, between 6 and 8 o’clock Monday evening.
