Richard Griffin

Richard Griffin, 55, of Macedonia, packaging plant maintenance superintendent, and husband of Renae Hood Griffin, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, in a Charleston hospital.

Richard was born May 20, 1955, in Independence, MO, the son of Roy Richard Griffin and Wanda Petree Griffin.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Surviving in addition to his wife of Bonneau, and his father of Sedalia, MO; are two sons - Roy Richard Griffin and his wife, Samantha, of Cross; and Jonathan Griffin of Biloxi, MS; a daughter - Teresa Wilson and her husband, Mike, of Myrtle Beach; a sister - Jennifer Griffin of Sedalia, MO; a granddaughter - Alexis Griffin; 2 stepgrandchildren - Alexis Mitchell and Johnathan Mitchell; a stepson - Shane Mitchell and his wife, Kirsty; a stepdaughter -
Meagan Mitchell. He was predeceased by a daughter - LaKrista Michelle Griffin

His funeral service was held in Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church in Macedonia, Monday afternoon, April 4, 2011, at 3 o'clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Interment, with military honors, followed in Macedonia Christian Church Cemetery.
