Wilson Reeves Lewis, 75, of Pinopolis, S.C., died on June 26, 2011, at a North Charleston nursing home, following an extended illness.
Mr. Lewis was born in Conway, S.C. on February 29, 1936, the son of Bessie Page Lewis and Cyrus Wilson Lewis.
He attended the University of South Carolina and was a graduate of Clemson University. He was the owner and manager of Lewis and Company,
a distributor for Gulf Oil, for 25 years. He later worked as a property assessor for Berkeley County.
He was a life-long member of Moncks Corner United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Kizer Lewis; a son, Will Lewis of Pinopolis; a daughter, Anne Marie Tracy and her husband, Damon,
and granddaughters Alex and Taylor Tracy of Pinopolis; a son-in-law, Jay Guerry of Pinopolis; a sister, Ann Baker of Moncks Corner
and her two sons and grandchildren; a brother, James F. Lewis and his wife, Monica of Chapin, SC and their two sons and grandchildren;
an aunt, Della Mae Randolph of Chapin. He was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Lyn Guerry
The funeral service for Mr. Lewis will be held on Wednesday, June 29, at 11:00 AM in the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church in Moncks Corner.
Burial will follow in the St. John’s Baptist Cemetery in Pinopolis. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at
Russell Funeral Chapel of Moncks Corner.
