Phebe Ann Sloan Thomason

Mrs. Phebe Ann Sloan Thomason of West Columbia, formerly of Pinopolis, widow of John B. Thomason, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Thomason was born August 19, 1918 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Cary Ray Sloan and Edith Lane Sloan. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO, she had retired following a number of years as a teacher.

Surviving are her son, John Cary Thomason and his wife, Kathy, of Chapin; her daughter - Karen Dale Steudel of West Columbia; a sister - Mittie Schmidt of Michigan; grandchildren - Cary Ann Lawson of Spartanburg; Cynthia Dawn Winchell (Keith) of Waxhaw, NC; Kelly Hawse (Ashby) of Capon Bridge W VA; Mark Steudel (Heather) of Cary NC; great grandchildren - Joey Lawson; Ashlee and Christina Hawse; Kyle and Brandon Winchell. She was predeceased by a grandson - John
David Thomason.

Her graveside funeral service will be held in Biggin Cemetery Saturday afternoon, April 6, 2013, at 3 o'clock, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner.
