Pauline Elouise Nix

Pauline Elouise Harris Nix, 86, of St. Stephen, widow of Claudie Nix, died Monday, September 6,
2010, in a St. Stephen nursing home.

Mrs. Nix was born October 1, 1923, in Bonneau, a daughter of Sammie Harris and Janie Louise Murray
Harris.

Surviving are a son, Michael S. Nix, of Pinopolis; 5 daughters – Carole Nix of Bonneau; Linda Murray of
Moncks Corner; Claudette Knight and her husband, Randy, of St. Stephen; Nina Cox and her husband,
Ronnie, of Andrews; Cheryl Best and her husband, James, of Bonneau; daughter-in-law, Janet Nix of
Abbeville, S.C.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 8 step grandchildren;
17 step great grandchildren; 3 step great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son – Reverend
Larry S. Nix.

Her funeral service will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, September 9, 2010, in Christian Outreach
Ministries, 3458 N. Hwy 52, St. Stephen. Interment will follow in St. Stephen Baptist Cemetery, directed by RUSSELL
FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Family and friends may call at Christian Outreach Ministries, Wednesday
evening, between 6 and 8 o’clock.
