Naomi Robinson Morgan

November 12, 1925 — August 24, 2014

Naomi Robinson Morgan went home to her Savior on August 24, 2014. Funeral Services arranged by Russell Funeral Chapel of Moncks Corner will be at Jamestown Baptist Church on August 26, 2014 with visitation at 2pm and the service at 4 pm. Burial will follow at the Lambert Cemetery at the K & D Ranch.

Naomi was born on November 12, 1925 in Gastonia N.C., the daughter of late Marvin and Lela Robinson. She married Jack Morgan in 1945 and their union produced Kay M. Lambert (Dennis Sr.), Jack A. Morgan (Elaine), Elizabeth Ann Morgan (deceased) and Jill M. Griffin (Joe). Her grandchildren are Rhonda West (Tom), Yvonne Lambert (deceased), Kay Lambert, Dennis Lambert Jr. (Tammy), Cass Manley (Todd), Morgan Griffin, Joshua Griffin (Kristen), Lindsey G. Mager (Brian); Jack A. Morgan III (deceased). Her great-grandchildren are Pamela L. Biggs (Kyle), Rachel Hemingway, Daniel Felkel, Dennis F. Lambert, Casey Geiger, Danielle Manley, Colleen Lambert, Haylee Caddell, Claire Mager, and Brooks Griffin. Her great-great-grandchildren are Brett Mauldin and Lillian Biggs. She was the sister of Edna Edison, Beatrice Biddy, Laura Bell, M.T. Robinson, Talmadge Robinson, Helen Clemmer and Jack F. Robinson, all deceased.

Naomi retired from Santee River Wool Combing/Prouvost USA, after a thirty-seven year career as a pin setter, then laboratory technician and first-aid supervisor. She was also an EMT and taught first-aid for 15 years.

Naomi was a Southern Baptist her entire life, a member of Jamestown Baptist church, then Berkeley Baptist Church for fifteen years before returning to Jamestown for her last six years. She served as Sunday organist and pianist, and also as a youth leader, teacher, and nursery attendant. Naomi started the Women’s Missionary Union at Jamestown Baptist Church which is very active today. As a young adult, she sang Gospel music solo, as well as in trios and quartets, that traveled on a missionary group around the state of North Carolina. She once won the Arthur Godfrey Amateur Hour Audition.
