Myrtle Creech Wickert

July 19, 1919 — June 9, 2009

Mrs. Myrtle Creech Wickert, of Moncks Corner, a homemaker and widow of Hampton W. Wickert, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning at her residence.

She was born July 19, 1919, in Cline, S.C., a daughter of William Creech and Necia Creech.

Mrs. Wickert was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a true servant of God. She was especially devoted to her church, the First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner.

Surviving are a Son, Robert F. Wickert and his wife, Evelyn of Bonneau; Two Daughters, Janice W. Atkinson and Elizabeth W. Mueller of Moncks Corner; One Sister, Blanche Elizabeth Beach of James Island, S.C.; Eleven Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wickert was predeceased by her Husband, Hampton W. Wickert, a Son, William H. Wickert, Jr., a Daughter, Dianne W. Hyrne, and a Grandson, Rally Hyrne.

Mrs. Wickert’s funeral service will be at First Baptist Church on Friday, June 12, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER. Friends may call at Russell Funeral Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday evening.
