Myrtis Connelly Easterlin

Myrtis Aaron Connelly Easterlin, 78, of Cross, retired owner of Easterlin Sea Anchors, widow of Robert L. Easterlin, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017.

Myrtis was born March 24, 1938, in Bamberg, South Carolina, a daughter of Laurie Aaron Connelly and Myrtis Margarette Folk Connelly.

A retired business owner and seamstress, Myrtis was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Cross. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning and sewing. Her sewing talents allowed her to sew for the Shriners Hospital which she considered an honor. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be sadly missed by all.

Surviving are four daughters- Sherry Hamilton and her husband, Richard, of Hilton Head; Robin Dantzler and her husband, Tommy, of Ladson; Sandra Clark and her husband, Frank, of Summerville; Melody Goggin and her husband, Daniel, of Cross; a son- Bruce L. Easterlin, Sr. and his wife, Ann, of Cross; eight grandchildren- Sheila Weathersbee; Ashley Vlasaty; Tracy Black; Robert Dantzler;
Bruce Easterlin, Jr.; Wanda Easterlin; Dusti Roberts; Luke Clark; twenty three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two brothers- Melbin Connelly and Billy Connelly; an aunt- Barbara Hammond; two sisters in law-Cathy Connelly and Ruth Todd. She was predeceased by a granddaughter- Rebecca Easterlin and a brother- Joseph Connelly.

Her funeral service will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church in Cross Wednesday afternoon, March 8, 2017, at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 o’clock until the hour of service.
