Mary Owens Lockhart

Mary Owens Lockhart, 81, of Moncks Corner, widow of Fred Lockhart, died
Saturday, February 13, 2009, at the residence of her niece, Ola Mae Wilcox

Her funeral service will be at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, at David E. Miles
Funeral Home in Baxley, Georgia. Interment will be at 3 P.M. in Palmetto
Cemetery at Baxley, Georgia. Local arrangements by RUSSELL FUNERAL
CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.

Mrs.Lockhart was born July 10, 1927, at Dakota, Georgia, a daughter of
Charles Owens and Ethel Adams Owens.

She was a 1944 graduate of Sycamore High School and was employed as a
medicaid coordinator with Appling General Hospital before retiring. She was
a Baptist.

Surviving are a son - Dwight S. Lockhart and his wife, Martha, or Warner Robins,
GA.; a daughter - Elizabeth A. Schelle and her husband, David, of Baxley, GA;
5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Palmetto Hospice,
