Marjorie Hodges West

July 25, 1926 — December 12, 2009

Mrs. Marjorie Hodges West, 83, of Moncks Corner, wife of Harold Norman
West, Sr., passed away Saturday evening in a Moncks Corner nursing home.


She was born July 25, 1926, in Spartanburg, a daughter of James Bailey
Hodges and Margaret Marbert Hodges.


Mrs. West was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was active
in the Norman West Sunday School Class. She also served for many years in
the nursery as a helper with the crib babies. She worked with her husband as his legal secretary until his
retirement.


Surviving in addition to her husband, are their children - Martee West Fansher and
her husband, Kenneth, of Moncks Corner; Dr. Harold N. West, Jr., and his wife,
Elliott, of Bonneau Beach; John S. West and his wife, Priscilla, of Moncks Corner;
Joyce West Ling and her husband, Col. David Ling, of Shulerville; grandchildren- Shelly F. Rucker; Daniel Fansher;
Laura W. Zito; Brian West; Claire W. Vincent; Marshall West; Cam West;
Mason West; Connor West; Cooper West; 1st Lt. Caleb Ling; and Margaret Ling; and
4 great grandchildren.


Her funeral service will be in First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner Tuesday morning
at 11 o'clock. Friends may call at the church from 10 A.M. until the hour of service.
Interment will follow in St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by RUSSELL
FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
