Marguerite Harvey Tucker

Marguerite Harvey Tucker, 85, of Santee, formerly of New Hope, died Saturday morning
February 13, 2010, in a North Charleston nursing home.

Mrs. Tucker was born February 29, 1924, in Berkeley County, a daughter of Charles
Fred Harvey and Grace Lillian Ward Harvey.

She was a member of Holly Hill United Methodist Church and a former member of
New Hope United Methodist Church. Mrs. Maguerite was an avid gardener and she dearly
Loved life and family.

She was first married to the late William H. Harvey and was the widow of Joseph Tucker.
Surviving are 4 sons – William H. Harvey, Jr., and his wife, Brenda, of New Hope; Charles
(Ted) Harvey, Sr. and his wife, Donna, of New Hope; Joseph Michael Harvey, Sr., and his wife,
Joan, of Boaz, AL.; Robert Q. Harvey, Sr., and his wife, Sylvia, of New Hope; a brother – Carl
F. Harvey and his wife, Betty Jean, of Moncks Corner; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren;
And several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister – Laura Harvey Burbage.

Her funeral service will be held in New Hope United Methodist Church, Tuesday afternoon,
February 16, 2010, at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in the church cemetery, directed by
RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Family and friends may call at Russell Funeral
Chapel between 6 and 8 P.M. Monday.
