Louvita Metts Myers, 91, of Moncks Corner, widow of Andrew A. Myers, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
Louvita was born June 27, 1931, in Moncks Corner, the daughter of the late Marion E. Metts, Sr. and Nora Britt Metts.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and woman of faith who enjoyed attending church. In addition to her devotion to her faith, Louvita had a passion for cooking, but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.
Surviving are her four children: Larry A. Myers, Wayne A. Myers (Fuji), Brenda F. Myers, and Marilyn M. Baker (Mark); six grandchildren, Allen A. Myers, Brian E. Myers, Pamela J. Richardson, Shawn M. Litchfield, Travis R. Litchfield, and Melissa M. Montoya; five great-grandchildren, Miranda M. Zoltowski, Samantha M. House, Katelyn Myers, Zachary R. Richardson, and Brayden C. Richardson; and four great-great-grandchildren, Ryverlynn House, Braddock Zoltowski, Jackson Zoltowski, and Lily-Ann Myers. She is also survived by her sister, Minnie Ruth Brenner, and brother, Marion E. Metts, Jr. In addition to her beloved husband of 49 years, and parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Steve R. Myers, one brother, and five sisters.
Her funeral service will be held at Wassamassaw Baptist Church, Moncks Corner, Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
