Louis Washington White, Sr., 88, of Jamestown, husband of the late Ruby Law White, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Louis was born August 14, 1933, in Berkeley County, son of George W. White and Susie Fort White.
Mr. White was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a member of Jamestown Baptist Church, and a member of the Mount Hope Masonic Lodge. After serving in the US Army, he later served his community for 32 years as magistrate. Louis was a retiree from Santee River Wool as well as a hard-working tax accountant. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and community.
Surviving are two sons- Louis White, Jr. of Bonneau; George W. White and his wife, Monica of Shulerville; five grandchildren- George White, Jason Sager, Jimmy Sager, Dylan White and Southern White, and seven great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at Jamestown Baptist Church, Thursday afternoon, December 30, 2021, at 1 o’clock. Interment will follow in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel Wednesday evening, December 29, 2021 from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner.
