Lois Sage Hood, 80, of St. Stephen, owner of Hood's Insurance Service, wife of J. B. Hood, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, in a Charleston hospital.
Born July 4, 1933, at Joliet, Il, she was a daughter of Arthur Olin Sage and Lucille Bargo Sage.
She was honored to have served as a Elder in St. Stephen Presbyterian Church and is presently a member of Moncks Corner Presbyterian Church. A member of the P.I.A., she was also a member of Mt. Hope Order of the Eastern Star, and had served as a Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children - Debbie A. Saturday and her husband, Don, of St. Stephen; Joseph A. Roff and Darlene, of Summerville; and Patti Thompson and her husband, John of Bonneau Beach; 2 brothers - Donald Sage and his wife, Janet, of Morris, IL; and Arthur Sage and his wife, Nancy of Mazon, IL; 4 sisters - Eloise Tippie of Kankakee, IL; Marilyn Jenkins of Scottsdale, AZ; Nancy Frederick of Minooka, IL; and Luann Nash and her husband, Mike, of Morris, IL; 9 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
The funeral service honoring Lois' life will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel Friday morning, August 2, 2013, at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow in St Stephen Episcopal Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel between 6 and 8 o'clock Thursday evening, August 1, 2013.
