Lewis Kermit Pierce, 86, of Bethera, widower of Lenora Murray Pierce passed away Wednesday September 15, 2021.
Lewis was born November 17, 1934 in Berkeley County a son of James William Pierce and Mary Mills Pierce.
A loving husband and father, Lewis and Lenora were married for 63 years before she passed away in 2017. Lewis retired as a superintendent for Berkeley Construction. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed working in his yard, fishing, woodwork, watching Clemson football and following all of his grandson Ryan’s sports activities.
Surviving are his children- Phil Pierce of San Francisco, CA; Terri Pierce Cox and her husband, Rusty of Moncks Corner; Stewart Pierce and his wife, Stephanie, of Bethera; five grandchildren- Josh Pierce, Kristen Pierce, Lauren Tucker, Bradley Pierce and Ryan Pierce; four great grandchildren; brothers- Aiken Pierce and his wife, Shirley; Cecil Pierce and his wife, Pat; sisters- Alberta Johns, Pearlie Litchfield and Mary “Snookie” Matthews and her husband, Jack. In addition to his wife, Lewis is predeceased by a son- Steven Pierce.
His graveside service will be held in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Bethera, Monday September 20, 2021 at 11 o’clock. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel Sunday evening, September 19, 2021 from 5 to 7 o’clock.
