Leroy Whaley

August 9, 1929 — January 17, 2009

LeRoy Whaley, 79, of Moncks Corner, S. C. husband of Nancy Green
Whaley, died Saturday at his residence.

His funeral service will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, January 20,
at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Interment willl be in
Appii Methodist Cemetery.

Mr. Whaley was born August 9, 1929, at Moncks Corner, a son of Charles
McDonald Whaley and Annie Varner Whaley.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are 3 sons - Michael Whaley and his wife Shannon
of Goose Creek; David Whaley and his wife Tricia of Moncks Corner; Roy
Whaley and his wife Karen of Moncks Corner; 2 daughters - Myra Whaley of
Moncks Corner; Carol W. Clarke and her husband Dean of Mt. Pleasant;
a sister - Katherine "Kitty" Blackmon of Moncks Corner; 13 grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a granddaughter.

Mr. Whaley was a graduate of Berkeley High School. He was an Air Force
veteran of the Korean War and he was a former employee of WestVaCo.
He was a member of Woodmen of the World.

Friends may call at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL from 6 until 8 o'clock this
Monday evening.
