Leona Walden Orvin

May 27, 1917 — April 5, 2012

Leona Walden Orvin, 94, of Pinopolis, widow of Denmon W. Orvin, Sr., died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Orvin was born May 22, 1917, in Tampa, Florida, the daughter of Leonard B. Walden and Bessie King Walden.

She was a member of Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Surviving are two sons - Denny Orvin of Pinopolis; and David Orvin and his wife, Nancy, of Pinopolis; 3 grandchildren - Matthew and Joseph Orvin and Brandy Richburg and her husband, Josh; and a great granddaughter - Caydence Elaine Richburg.

The family extends special thanks and love to Hattie Morrant, a Godsend who became a part of our family and cared for Mom for 7 years.

Her graveside funeral service will be held in Berkeley Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner, Tuesday morning, April 10, 2012, at 11 o'clock,directed by Russell Funeral Chapel of Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel between 5 and 7 o'clock Monday evening, April 9, 2012.
