Lee Wideman Suhler

February 7, 1927 — May 8, 2022

Lee Wideman Suhler, widow of the late Sidney A. Suhler entered into eternal rest on May 8, 2022, at the age of 95 following her respective stays at The Village of Summerville, SC, and White Oak Manor of Charleston, SC.

Lee was born in Winston Salem, NC to the late William Floyd Reid and Pearl Woodlief Reid. She was the youngest of the three children and was predeceased by them.

Lee had many experiences in the various places that she lived. One of her favorite places to live was Rockport, TX where she enjoyed the island life. There she was instrumental in helping to develop EMS services on the island. She also worked as the AIM Hospice Volunteer Coordinator for Rockport, TX.

In her younger years, Lee enjoyed sailing, playing tennis, playing golf, sculpting, traveling, spending time in the mountains, and interacting with people.

While living in Mt. Pleasant, SC she and her late husband attended Point Hope Methodist Church.

Lee is survived by her three children, Deborah F. Sanders (Norman), Thomas W. Fulk, Jr. (Lea), and William W. Fulk; two grandchildren, Karey S. Wilson (Phillip), and Thomas W. Fulk; two great-grandchildren, Sanders D. Wilson, and Evelyn A. Wilson. She is also survived by step-children, step-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by her grandson, John M. Fulk.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 11:00 am. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL.
