Larry Baker Lane,77, of Moncks Corner, husband of Gynelle Lane, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in a Charleston hospital
Larry was born March 25, 1936, in Zion, SC, son of Vernon Baker Lane and Danie Johnson Lane.
He was a graduate of Mullins High School; served in the Air Force and retired after 29 years as a maintenance mechanic with General Electric. Larry's family was the most important thing to him, and he loved being with and visiting with people. His favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter - Lynn O'Connor and her husband, Mike, of Goose Creek; a son - Thomas Baker Lane of Moncks Corner; a granddaughter - Jen Erickson and her husband, T.J., of Hanahan; a grandson - Todd Baker Lane of North Charleston; great granddaughter- Bryce Erickson; great grandson- Jake Erickson; 2 sisters - Shirley Bryant and her husband, J.C., of Hanahan and Brenda English of Florence; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother - Joe Lane.
His funeral service will be at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, Friday afternoon, April 19, 2013, at 3 o'clock. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel two hours prior to the service (1 - 3 PM). Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens.
