Kathryn Edwards Robinson

Kathryn Edwards Robinson, 52, of Pinopolis, wife of Wilbur S. Robinson, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, in a Charleston hospital.

She was born December 31, 1958, in Florence, S.C., the daughter of Acie Edwards and Laura Surgeon Edwards.

Kathy was a graduate of Berkeley High School and University of South Carolina. She was a member and former Deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner. Kathy taught school in the Berkeley County School System and in Belen, New Mexico; she also had served as a guandian ad Litem in Berkeley County. She was President of the American Legion Auxillary of Moncks Corner and was a member of North Charleston Civitan Club.

Surviving in addition to her husband; and her parents of Pinopolis; are her son - Robert Robinson of Pinopolis; a sister -Cindy Leopard and her husband, Mark, of Summerville; and two stepsons - Jason Robinson of Fayetteville, N.C.; and Nicholas Robinson and his wife, Mary Ann, of Chattanooga, TN.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday morning, August 13, 2011, at 10:00 o'clock in First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Biggin Cemetery directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel between 6 and 8 o'clock Friday evening.
