Kathleen Powell Pressley Carter

Kathleen Janie Powell Pressley Carter, 89, of Travelers Rest, S.C., formerly of Bonneau, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, in North Carolina.

She was first married to the late Reverend Sam Pressley and was the widow of William Carter. She was a member of Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church and was the former owner of Pressley's Cloth Shop in Bonneau.

The daughter of Willie Alexander Powell and Sally Daniels Powell, she was born January 5, 1923, in Williamsburg County.

Surviving are her daughter - Linda P. Bunch of Travelers Rest; 3 sons - Donald Pressley of Louisiana; Keith Pressley of Sumerville; and Eric Pressley of Bonneau; 2 brothers - W. A. Powell of Andrews; and Mut Powell of Marion; 2 sisters 0 Lucy Herring of Myrtle Beach and Peggy Wheeler of Murrells Inlet; 8 grancdhildren and 4 greatgrandchildren

Her funeral service will be at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, July 24, 2012, in Lacaster Funeral Home, Lancaster, S C. Interment will be in Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Lancaster Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Local arrangements by Russell Funeral Chapel.
