June L. Mikesell, 85, of Bonneau, first married to E. J. Bose and widow of Ira Mikesell, died Thursday morning, March 4, 2010, in a North Charleston hospital.
June was born June 14, 1924, in Mulberry, IN., the daughter of James Barnett and Gladys Merkel Barnett.
She was a retired x-ray technician, having served as a WAC in the U.S. Army during World War II. June was a member of the Eastern Star and she was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are a son – James Bose and his wife, Pandy, of Middleburg, FL; 2 daughters Karen Sible Norlander of New Orleans, LA; and Sharon Legnard and her husband, Bernard “Pee Wee”, of Macedonia; a brother – Johnny Barnett and his wife, Connie, of Delphi, IN; a sister – Ruth Hienz and her husband, Glenn, of Cocomo, IN., 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter – JoEtta Bose Fauling.
Her graveside funeral service will be in Hickory Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery Saturday afternoon, March 6, 2010, at 2 o’clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
