Joan Bennett Sterrett

Joan Bennett Sterrett, 74, of Moncks Corner, a homemaker, wife of
Donald Sterrett, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

Joan was born June 2, 1941, in Florence, South Carolina, a daughter of Frank Bennett and Eva Wosham Bennett.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter- Marie Gummo and her husband, Ken, of Wisconsin; 4 sons- Bobby Frierson of Camden, SC; Samuel “Eddie” Frierson and his wife, Linh, of San Diego, Ca.; Tommy Frierson and his wife, Beverly, of Wake Forest, NC; Charles Sterrett and his wife, Lisa, of Charleston, SC; a twin sister- Joyce Hewitt of Florence, SC; 3 brothers- Jimmy Bennett, Jerry Bennett, and Eddie Bennett, all of Florence, SC; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 sisters- Lillian Whaley and Betty Allen; and a brother- Tommy Bennett.

Her graveside service will be held in Berkeley Memorial Gardens, Saturday morning, August 1, 2015, at 11 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel Friday evening, July 31, 2015 from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock.
