Jimmie T. Smith

Jimmie T. Smith, 75, of Moncks Corner, husband of 49 years to Patricia Gosnell Smith, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018.

Jimmie was born October 24, 1942, in Berkeley County, a son of Relma T. Smith and Wilbur C. Hill.

A Berkeley High School graduate, Jimmie retired from Georgia Pacific Chemical Division as a chemical operator. He was a member of the Moncks Corner Board of Zoning Appeals.

Jimmie was of the Methodist faith and was a loving husband and father. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and community.

Surviving in addition to his wife are- a son- Teddy Smith of Moncks Corner and his wife, Marie; two grandchildren- Dominick Bradley and Savanna Smith; Niece- Jackie Smith Onezine and her husband, Chris; great niece Lauryn Cooper and a special cousin- Connie James. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister- Dorothy "Dot" Singletary and a brother- Keith Smith.

His funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel Saturday morning, May 19, 2018, at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Rudd Branch Cemetery, Lebanon.

The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel Friday evening, May 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 o’clock.
