Janette Varner Hoenck, lovingly known as Janette, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on July 21, 1932, in Berkeley County, S.C., she was the daughter of Royal Washington Varner Sr. and Mary Vera Barrett Varner.

Janette's life was defined by her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, and her love for her community. A long-standing member of the Aldersgate Methodist Church, she invested her time and energy into the church's activities, enriching the lives of those around her. She also found joy in reading, tending to her garden, and doting over Adeyla. 

Survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Ernest E. Hoenck, Janette's loving spirit will be carried on by her son Matt Hoenck, daughter-in-law Holly Anderson, and her treasured granddaughter Adeyla Hoenck, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Susan Hoenck, and brothers, Royal W. Varner Jr. and Franklin Varner.
