James “Jimmy” Joseph Rispoli, 63, of St. Stephen passed away Wednesday April 21, 2021.
Jimmy was born September 11, 1957 in Brooklyn New York, a son of Joseph Rispoli and Marie Quarto Rispoli.
A faithful member of Life Baptist Church in St. Stephen, Jimmy had a ministry at Fair Haven Home for Men as a cook, he kept the kitchen and ordered all the supplies for the home. Jimmy also served as the Official Custodian for Life Baptist Church. A kind, considerate and compassionate man, Jimmy was a great help ministering to the men that came through Fair Haven Home for Men as they struggle with addictions.
Jimmy was proud of being Italian and loved to share that fact with everyone he met. He was full of life and fun, everyone enjoyed picking on him about his short stature. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, church and the Fair Haven Home for Men.
Surviving are two daughters- Dawn Rispoli and Gina Rispoli; two granddaughters- Savannah and Jocelyn; siblings- Marian Rispoli, Camille Tenny, Steven Rispoli, Debbie Shopp, Diane Settenbre, Nancy Robinson and Daniel Rispoli.
His funeral service will be held at Life Baptist Church, St. Stephen, Thursday afternoon April 29, 2021 at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Santee River Road, St. Stephen, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held at the church from 1:30 until the hour of service.
