James Coy "Hoss" Williams

James Coy “Hoss” Williams, 66, of Moncks Corner, retired insurance salesman, husband of Ruth Wenningham Williams, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018.

James was born October 3, 1951 in Augusta, Georgia, son of Albert Nunnie Williams and Harriett Buyck Williams.

A dedicated husband to Ruth for 44 years, James was a good honest man with a gentle spirit, he loved his family and granddaughters very much. Music was his passion, as the lead guitarist for the band Southern Delight, James loved playing and teaching music. It made him very happy when his music brought joy to others.

As an avid reader of all books, James spent extra time learning Greek, to research and better understand the Bible. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and many friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister- Phyllis M. “Silky” Williams of Cross; three granddaughters- Raven Alexis Chubb, Averi Rayne Chubb and Savannah Paige Chubb all of Macedonia; a son in law- Steven Chubb also of Macedonia; James was predeceased by his beloved daughter- Lisa Marie Williams Chubb.
