SKINNER, James B. “Jimmy”
James B. “Jimmy” Skinner, 75, of Pinopolis, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Skinner, or “Jimmy”, as he was known to family and friends, was born on March 25, 1935, in Oakley, S. C., the son of the late James B. Skinner and Lillian Wheeler Skinner.
He was a retired employee of Santee Cooper.
Surviving are his son, Michael J. Skinner of Pinopolis; two daughters – Shaerry S Skinner and her husband, Warren, of Moncks Corner; and Terry S. McPherson and her husband, Tommy, of Pinopolis; 8 grandchildren – Matthew J. McPherson; Andrea E. Skinner; Lauren M. Skinner; Holly M. McPherson; Alison O. Skinner; Nathan T. McPherson; Andrew J. Skinner; and Jace I. Skinner; and a sister – Mary Ann Johnson of Walterboro. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Harley Skinner; and two brothers – William W. Skinner and Thomas G. Skinner.
His graveside funeral service was held in St. John’s Baptist Church Cemetery in Pinopolis at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon, March 11, 2011, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
