James Roger Russell

James Roger Russell Sr., 77, of Summerville, retired supervisor with Coble Dairy, first married to the late Geraldine Davis Russell and husband of Jacqueline Sims Russell, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015.

James was born December 10, 1938, in Albemarle, North Carolina, son of Fred Anderson Russell Sr. and Dessie Glenn Merritt Russell.

After retiring from both Coble Dairy and Murray Biscuit Company, he had worked for Charleston Auto Auction. James also served in the US Army. He enjoyed NASCAR and visiting the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee.

Surviving are a daughter- Brigitte Russell Fonseca and her husband, Joe, of Summerville; two sons- James R. “Tiny” Russell II of Moncks Corner; Joshua L. Russell and his fiancé, Tabatha, of Summerville; four grandsons- Patrick E. Crawford; Hunter D. Crawford; Dillon J. Russell; Ian N.S. Fonseca;
one granddaughter- Shelby Deen Russell; one step-granddaughter- Kaelan Jernigan; two great grandchildren; two sisters- Linda Gayle Russell and Patricia Elaine Hatley. He was predeceased by a grandson- Chaz A. Crawford; a sister- Betty Russell Hetherly; a brother- Fred A. Russell Jr.

All services will be private.
