James Floyd

Francis "Jimmy" James Floyd of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, born August 11, 1941, passed peacefully on October 7, 2023. He was born to parents James Floyd and Daisy Wright Barnette. His life was marked by service, courage, and unceasing friendliness.
After graduating from Berkeley High School, where he proudly served as the kicker for the first state championship football team, his desire for public service led him to enlist in the US Air Force, from which he retired after 26 years. His military service included three tours of duty during the Vietnam War where he gallantly witnessed heavy combat.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Justin Floyd; his daughter, Jamie Baker; and his brothers, Ernest M. Barnette and David R. Barnette. His passing is a great loss, not only to his family members but also to the community that loved him. Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of courage and unyielding spirit that will forever be cherished.
