Ila Haselden Shuler, 82, of Jamestown, homemaker and widow of James A. “Jack” Shuler, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in a St. Stephen nursing home.
Mrs. Shuler was born November 9, 1931, in Berkeley County, daughter of Clarence D. Haselden and Annie Florence Ackerman Haselden.
She was a homemaker whose favorite pastimes were working in her yard, sewing and caring for animals.
Surviving are two daughters – Deborah Gaskins and her husband, Larry of Shulerville; and Laura Mills and her husband, Lester, of Shulerville; two sons – Glenn Shuler of Jamestown and Jesse Shuler and his wife, Misty, of Shulerville; a sister – Lola Morton and her husband, Jimmy, of Bonneau; two brothers – Kenneth Haselden and his wife, Blanche, of Huger and C. D. Haselden and his wife, Janice, of Awendaw; 7 grandchildren – David Shuler; Dennis Shuler; Annie Brunson; Katie Shuler; Renee Nichols; Breanna Mills and Tori Shuler; and 11 great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at Bethany Pentecostal Holiness Church, Shulerville, Friday afternoon, March 14, 2014, at 3 o’clock. Interment will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery directed by RUSSELL FUENRAL CHAPEL, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, between 6 and 8 o’clock Thursday evening, March 13, 2014.
