Howard B. "Teddy" Hood, Sr., 82, of Bonneau, a retired carpenter with Westvaco, died May 21, 2000, in a Charleston hospital.
Mr. Hood was born October 2, 1918, in Bonneau, SC, a son of Charlie Hood and Julia Orvin Hood. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Bonneau Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife-Ruth Brinson Hood of Bonneau; Son-Howard B. Hood, Jr.of Bonneau; Three Daughters-Sissy Cypress and Dolly Ward both of Bonneau; Thelma Zimmerman of Bonneau Beach; Stepdaughter-Mary Pipkin of St. Stephen; Stepson-Sonny Dreher of St. Stephen; Two Sisters-Tena Hungerpillar and Mildred Ballentine both of St. Stephen; Brother-Gadson Hood of St. Stephen; Three Grandchildren
His funeral service was held May 24, 2000, in Bonneau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, was in Bonneau Baptist Church Cemetery.
