Hermine (Salisbury) Gaskins

Hermine Annie Salisbury Gaskins, 82, of Moncks Corner, entered into eternal rest early Wednesday morning July 28, 2021. Hermine was born October 25, 1938 in Berkeley County, the eldest child of W. Connor Salisbury and Lucille Hill Salisbury.

Best known by family as “Sissy” and “Sissy Mom”, Hermine had retired from Wachovia bank after 42 years. She was a kind caregiver to all of her family, up until the very end. She enjoyed calling to check on her family, camp meeting and spending time in Lebanon with her sisters and family. She was a loving wife to her husband Mederia Gaskins for almost 60 years. She gave everything she had to make sure her family and friends were happy.

Hermine was preceded in death by her husband Mederia and her parents. She leaves behind her sisters- Betty Gaskins and Debbie Whitley; brother- Rembert Salisbury; nephews and niece- Ricky, Rodney, Con, Chad, Carey, Brandon, Brad and Courtney; great nieces and nephews- Leanne, Dillon, Emily, Katie, Mason, Reddick, Hylton, Sutton, Clara and Ford.

Per Hermine’s wishes, her service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, where she was a member, 1183 Lebanon Road, Ridgeville, SC 29472.
