Hattie Aretis (Dingle) Dangerfield

Hattie Dingle Dangerfield, affectionately known as Hattie, was born on October 9, 1926, in Sumter, South Carolina, and passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. A child of Wallace and Francis Broadway Dingle, Hattie was the cherished matriarch of a large and loving family. She was the beloved widow of Coleman W. Dangerfield Sr. and the treasured mother to her children, Francis Roberts and her husband Homer, Tannie Parker and her husband Michael, and her son Coleman "Bucky" Dangerfield Jr. and his wife Dot. Her love and lessons live on through her nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The last surviving sibling of 14 children, Hattie's life was a testament to the values of family and community. In her professional life, she dutifully served as the assistant Postmaster in Moncks Corner up until her well-earned retirement.

Loving, thoughtful, and selfless are words that only begin to touch upon the essence of Hattie.
