Harris D. Reeves

Harris Daniel Reeves, 89, of Lebanon, retired Civil Service employee of the Charleston Air Force Base, husband of Marie Hill Reeves, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

Harris was born July 22, 1927, in Reevesville, South Carolina, a son of Daniel Jacob Reeves and Lessie Ruth McAlhany Reeves.

A member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, Harris was a loving husband and father who enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting, he was a prior member of Camp Hall Hunt Club. He had also served in the US Army.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters- Cindy R. Willard and her husband, Ted, of Lebanon; Kathy R. Parker and her husband, Roy, of Lebanon; a son- Kevin H. Reeves of Statesville, NC; three sisters-Patricia R. Reeves and her husband, Farrell, of St. George; Carolyn, R. Miller and her husband, Maldon, of Columbia; Delaine R. Crook and her husband, Ronnie, of St. George; four grandchildren- Stephen D. Parker; Ryan E. Parker; Christian H. Reeves; Abbie E. Reeves; one great grandchild- Sullivan D. Markland. He was predeceased by his step mother-Ruby Hutto Reeves; two sisters- Rena R. Barmore and Vincene R. Mizzell; one brother- R. Carroll Reeves.

His funeral service will be held at Lebanon United Methodist Church, Saturday afternoon, February 25, 2017, at 3 o’clock. Interment will follow in Rudd Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 o’clock until the hour of service.
