Harriett Kearse Bonnette

Harriett Kearse Bonnette, 85 of North Charleston, formerly of Moncks Corner, widow of Wilson Bonnette, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Life Care Center of Charleston.

Mrs. Bonnette was born September 24, 1924, in Chester, S.C., a daughter of Horace Sydney Kearse and Mary Mace Kearse of Ehrhardt, S.C.

She was a retired Administrative Assistant with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. She was a member of Pine Hill United Methodist Church and a former member of Smyrna United Methodisst Church; a former member of the Berkeley Shrine Ladies Club and an honorary member of the Handlebars Club.

Surviving are her sister - Mary K. Fanning of Columbia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Franklin Mace Kearse.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday morning, May 15, 2010, in Pine Hill United Methodist Church at Orangeburg at 10 o'clock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. Friends may call at Russell Funeral Chapel between 5 and 7 o'clock Friday evening, May 14, and at the church Saturday morning from 9 o'clock until the hour of service.
